I will watch that video in some time, but first, I'm going to subject you to more Star Trek.  First of all, Deep Space Nine, while accidentally time-traveling to 2025 (their past) does a great explanation why (in part) some people vote against healthcare/ helping others. This whole scene is much better as Julian Bashir (the doctor in blue) wonders aloud about human nature and that, in the face of a horrifying disaster, if humanity and the Federation wouldn't back-slide to where they are, in the episode.  Re-watching this (two-part) episode has been freaking creepy, when you realize the show is 20 years old and some of the stuff said in this episode about "what might have gone wrong in the past" from this episode have already come to pass.  Not the concentration camps for the homeless... but the use of jobs as a privilege that must be handed out to the best and forget all who can't get one because they're not worth anything.  I see people in real life expressing those sentiments.

Here's some tech-magics. WRC 73 Rally Poland, Stephane Lefebvre damaged his Citroen WRC. I honestly have no idea how he managed to roll to the crew, but he did, and the crew took only half an hour to ressurect the car. It's really one of those unbelievable feats for me...

Huh.  Don't think I've heard that joke... but probably because I grew up in America's Bible Belt and often have to 'fake faith' to make my life easier.  (No, I don't feel like being proselytized to today... might as well make a comment that indicates I believe in their middle-eastern-zombie-jewish-vampire just to keep them off my backs.)  Hell, I recently found out (though likely unconstitutional if actually challenged in court) that something like a little over half of the States here have laws on the books preventing Atheists from running for office.  It's often so bad, if you don't say you are at least some kind of believer, you pretty much do not have a shot at being elected to a government office.  Almost certainly for the President.  And to think that before Ronald Wilson Reagan (... The Boondocks pointed out his names all have six letters each...) the idea of a 'Religious Right' or a 'Religious Vote' in America never existed.  Many Christians often took the view that it was not their place to be so concerned with worldly matters and that they should not vote their faith. As a Christian, you concern yourself with reaching the next life.  Reagan (and to a lesser degree religious, but greater degree racist) Lee Atwater changed that forever... and for the worse in my opinion.


Interesting celebration... but all I can think of (besides I wonder what they're using and isn't that possibly a fire hazard) is... those poor birds... You can see so many of them flee from the smoke at the last second.
